This rare 1715 Fleet piece is believed to be cut from the remaining ends of a silver bar making the planchet have a defect from the pouring of the bar. Despite this defect a visible legend shows it comes from Mexico City Mint under L assayer. Rare by assayer and wreck already this coin also has a complete full weight with encrusted edges. Hailing from an original Fisher investors collection, this 1715 Fleet piece salvaged by Mel' Cobb Coin Co maintains its division paperwork as it was issued in the 90s.
