This exceptionally rare and interesting 1715 Fleet 1/2 reales bears a full OMG legend next to a Philip IV monogram. G assayer began striking in 1666 but because of a lapse in time from when Philip IV died and Charles II took power the mint had not changed the dies and it is assumed that all 1667 1/2 reales are struck with the Philip IV monogram instad of Charles II. While this is rare in general, it is even more intersting to still have such quality and clear details after surviving such a famous shipwreck, making this rare anomaly of coinage an interesting piece of history.
