This scarce 1715 Fleet coin is from the earlier Charles II Era bearing not only his ordinal but paritally his shield type. The Partial strike on both sides is due to the coin being part of the end of the silver bar it was cut from. The mintworkers only struck half of the coin design onto it despite the coin being near full weight!
This amazing piece was a promotional sale piece in the late 70s and maintains all its original paperwork, even an express written letter to the buyer.
